Who should attend?
All staff who may find themselves in a violent or hostile situation, such as customer service consultants.
Course participants will learn:
The training covers the skills and knowledge required to provide participants with a preventive rather than reactive approach to violent or hostile situations.
Topics include:
- Recognising and avoiding violent situations
- Defusing anger, using conflict resolution & non-confrontational styles of approach
- Identifies customers likely to be angry, disgruntled
- Identify some possible effects of being involved in an armed robbery and procedures to minimise the impact to personnel
- Provide information on back-up from Emergency Services
- Identify prevention strategies
Qualification
Non-Accredited — A certificate of attendance is awarded for this course.
