All staff who may come in contact with small fires or emergencies during their day-to-day duties.

  • fire spread
  • human resources
  • escape routes
  • availability of control equipment and facilities
• Basic fire behaviour
• Principles and methods of extinguishment:
  • portable fire extinguishers
  • hose reels
  • suppression systems
  • fire blankets
• Emergency control equipment and facilities such as:
  • fire doors
  • fire sprinkler systems
  • fire alarm systems
• Controlling the emergency
• Reporting the use of emergency equipment
